The Tuvla field notes

How to research a property’s sale history

A property’s sale history puts dates and prices behind an address. It can help you ask better questions about a home and follow up on what has changed over time.

Find the right address

Search the postcode and select a building in Tuvla. Check the address carefully, particularly for flats, converted houses and buildings with several units. Map outlines and transaction addresses come from different sources and do not always match perfectly.

Read the sequence of transactions

Look at available sale dates and recorded prices together. A large price difference between sales does not explain the cause on its own. The home may have changed, the local market may have moved, or the record may need further investigation.

Know why a sale might be missing

The Price Paid Data series starts in 1995 and does not include every transfer of ownership. Records can take time to arrive and may later be corrected. No record in Tuvla does not prove that a property has never sold.

Keep your research together

Sign in to save properties you want to return to. Use the shortlist alongside your viewing notes and source checks. Tuvla helps organise property research; it does not replace title documents, a survey or a professional valuation.
